Description

Unlike the rest of the Elasto-Gel Hot/Cold Wraps, these All Purpose Packs can be submerged in water. The Elasto-Gel is enclosed in a urethane material and were originally intended for professional/industrial use where only hot water baths are available.

The outside cover must be removed prior to placing pack in hot water bath. A damp cloth covering the pack will also be needed, in order to provide moist heat. A microwave can be used to warm-up the pack as well. Using the product as heat therapy will aid in reducing soreness, reoccurring pain or injuries. The warmth melts away soreness, relaxes muscles and helps with stiffness by increasing circulation and blood-flow.

To reduce acute pain like sprains, strains or bruises, the Elasto-Gel Hot/Cold All Purpose Therapy Wrap can be utilized as a cold therapy product. The cold wrap is able to reduce swelling and inflammation.

Directions for COLD THERAPY
• Place gel pack in freezer for 2 hours or more.
• Remove pack from freezer and place inside the cloth cover.
• Close compartment and apply compression wrap as shown and secure by attaching the elastic strap.
• Remains flexible after frozen.
Gel pack will maintain cold therapy for 30-60 minutes. It is best to keep an extra gel pack in the
freezer to replace the original that is in use when it is no longer cold. The pack may remain in
freezer until next use.

Directions for HOT THERAPY
• Heat in cloth cover.
• Fold the pack in half. Heat in microwave for 20 seconds on each side. Unfold the pack and refold in the
other direction. Heat in the microwave for an additional 20 seconds on each side. This will improve
uniform heating throughout the entire pack. For additional warmth, heat in 10 second increments.
NOTE – DO NOT MICROWAVE EACH SIDE LONGER THAN 20 SECONDS AT A TIME TO AVOID
BREAKING OR OVERHEATING GEL PACK.
• Remove pack from microwave and wait for one minute before applying to skin.
• Apply compression wrap as shown by attaching the elastic strap.
Gel pack will maintain hot therapy for 20-30 minutes. When pack is no longer hot, reheat in
microwave at 10 second increments until desired temperature is reached. The gel pack may be
stored at room temperature. Test after each 10 second increments.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Remove the outside cover and hand wash in cold water and mild soap. Hang up to dry. Wipe the white inner cover with a damp (not wet) cloth using mild soap or disinfectant. Allow the product to fully air dry before continuing to use.

  1. Customer

This is thick, so it stays cold a long time, but the gel is soft so it is comfortable to use. A good product.

  2. Kevin

Wonderful for back aches. High quality product. Great buy.

  3. Lorrie Bailey

Great ice pack, it’s soft, flexible and durable.

  4. Customer

Love it! Great quality. Worth the cost which I thought was reasonable.

  5. Kimberly

I love these as cold packs! My dad had a physical therapist use and recommend them and they work so well at retaining the cold longer while being very flexible. I think this was the 6th I’ve bought in different sizes for different uses. We’ve had some for 5 years now and still works great!

  6. Maria C. M. Sanchez

    Perfect

  7. vlindman

Great product. I keep in freezer and is ready any time I need it. Works great. Delivered a day or two after I ordered.

  8. tk

This works great, provides lots of coverage, and stays cold for a long time.

  9. Randall L Reid

These Elasto Gel packs are a lifesaver. To be able to use it for heat or cold therapy is a plus. Great product and well worth the money

  10. NickM

By a considerable margin, the best ice pack I’ve ever used to alleviate my lower back issues: I’m 5’7″, but this ice pack easily covers a very broad swath of my back, remains agreeably cold over 15+ minutes of application, and seems very ell made, with a plush surface, that eliminates the need for an intervening towel. In these respects, this ice pack handily beats the ice packs I used on my back at my physical therapists’ facility. Two observations, which explain why this doesn’t get a 5-star rating: it’s relatively heavy (about 4 pounds – – heavier than my laptop!) and you should be scrupulous in keeping — and using — the zip-lock bag in which this ice pack arrives at your door, so the pack’s fabric surface doesn’t get wet or damaged in the freezer. Clearly, it’s not cheap, but if your back issues are more than merely transient, this thing can really ease your job of getting back on your feet and staying there, as it did for me.

  11. robake

Very good for its purpose, but I found it heavy and hard to handle.

  12. Randall Whaley

    a little to stiff..

  13. Connie Field

    Wonderful for back pain!

  14. Shevy

These are wonderful. I keep two in my freezer, ready for use. After knee surgery, the rehab place used these at the end of the workout. I loved it so much and it was so soothing that I ordered one then. Now I’ve ordered a second one because both knees give me grief. These fold nicely around the affected area and stay put while you read or watch tv, plus they don’t drip like regular ice packs. They stay cold a long time, them slip back in the bag to be stored in the refrigerator.

  15. Eclectic Shopper

This works well for backs but is a little difficult to shape to any other area. Keeps its temperature for a reasonable amount of time.

  16. Connie Fields

This Hot/Cold pack is excellent. I use it for back, leg, and shoulder. I have used many others and this is by far the best quality hot/cold pack around. Worth the money.

  17. BMC

Used this for recovery from shoulder surgery to help control swelling.

  18. Dale Crass

Elasto-Gel was recommended by my physical therapist at the hospital. Elasto-Gel is thicker, stays cold longer and is more flexible than the cheaper gel packs. Well worth the extra money. Highly recommended!

  19. L. Smith

These are very heavy but soft, great for when you can lay on them.

  20. BJS

So glad I got this to replace a ColPac that leaked like crazy. This one seems like it will last a lot longer.

  21. Suffer

“Can be used for swelling reduction or pain relieving, but Ive used it to reduce core temperature when trying to sleep or cool down faster.

Last 20mins about, keep in bag in freezer when not in use.

Apply to area of swelling or pain directly, or place on abdomen to reduce core temperature.”

  22. A Customer

“the elasto gel; pack 12×12 I ordered came efficiently and would be effective for large areas such as the back, the thigh, etc.

. I originally had ordered this for a hand and thumb problem..the 12×12 pack is too large for this area, but a smaller pack would have been appropriate, and I may ordee that size as well..”

  23. Chris Calanche

I first used elasto gel at my physical therapist office and it helped ease my back and sciatica pain after stretches. I asked them the name and wherr to find it.

  1. The item lasts depending on the usage of the item. It doesn't necessarily need to be replaced as long as it still serves its purpose.
